In case you are not aware D2NA used to be called Stoke IT. But we have always provided IT services throughout the UK (and even as far as Europe – Gibraltar for example). As lots of our customers in other parts of the UK used to get confused about the localised name, we decided to have a competition to find a new name. That was way back at the start of 2009. And we came up with 'D2NA'. So what does it mean?

Well, D2 refers to two Doyle’s – Graham (Junior) and Mike (Senior) who have worked together since the company’s inception in 2005. But 'D2' on its own wasn’t long enough for the domain name needed for the website and email addresses, so we added the 'NA' which stands for 'Network Associates'. We also thought this might make us sound a bit grander! But you can be the judge of that. So it’s 'D2 Network Associates' or 'D2NA' for short. We do in fact also answer to other names that can’t be published here! (those people who call us by our other names know who you are).
 
Of course, the company today has grown a long way beyond the two D’s who started it. Watch out for future articles where we will be introducing the rest of the Humans at D2NA…
