Hosted v in-house
The data centre that hosts your virtual software can be located in your own network or it can be located outside our network and hosted by someone else. This simply means that you outsource the management of your data centre.
Hosted delivery of software has the advantage of a fixed annual cost (Operations budget) rather than up front investment (Capital budget).
Using someone else to host your Virtual Software means that you need to look at the speed and reliability of your Internet Connections and Wide Area Network. Our Virtualisation Readiness Service takes this into accounts and puts you in control.
Here at D2NA we don’t have any preference for either approach. The same skills are required to implement Virtual Computing solutions in either model.
We have found that most of our larger clients to prefer to host their own data centres. Smaller clients tend to prefer hosted delivery centres. In the real world a hybrid solution is often used where you have physical computers in-house but key software applications are delivered using a hosted delivery centre.
If you’d prefer to outsource your data centre, we have Virtual Software delivery infrastructure on state of the art, fully resilient architecture.
