c\/side security analyst Himanshu Anand\u00a0said\u00a0in a new analysis.<\/p><p>As of writing, there are\u00a0over 135,800 sites\u00a0containing the JavaScript payload, per statistics from PublicWWW.<\/p><p>As\u00a0documented\u00a0by the website security company last month, the campaign involves infecting websites with malicious JavaScript that&#8217;s designed to hijack the user&#8217;s browser window to redirect site visitors to pages promoting gambling platforms.<\/p><p>The redirections have been found to occur via JavaScript hosted on five different domains (e.g., &#8220;zuizhongyj[.]com&#8221;) that, in turn, serve the main payload responsible for performing the redirects.<\/p><p>c\/side said it also observed another variant of the campaign that entails injecting scripts and iframe elements in HTML impersonating legitimate betting websites such as Bet365 by making use of official logos and branding.<\/p><p>The end goal is to serve a fullscreen overlay using CSS that causes the malicious gambling landing page to be displayed when visiting one of the infected sites in place of the actual web content.<\/p><p>&#8220;This attack demonstrates how threat actors constantly adapt, increasing their reach and using new layers of obfuscation,&#8221; schedule, which pushes updates at the end of each month to let Windows admins test bug fixes, improvements, and features that will roll out during next month&#8217;s Patch Tuesday release.<\/p><p>However, unlike regular Patch Tuesday cumulative updates, monthly non-security preview updates do not include security updates.<\/p><p>The video player is currently playing an ad.<\/p><p>On Copilot+ PCs with AMD and Intel CPUs, KB5053656 adds live captions and real-time translation with support for\u00a0translating more than 44 languages into English.<\/p><p>This preview update also fixes an issue that can trigger a PDC_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT bug check (blue screen) when resuming from sleep and several bugs causing Kerberos and FIDO Cached Credential authentication to stop responding in some scenarios.<\/p><p>You can install it\u00a0by opening <strong>Settings<\/strong>, clicking on <strong>Windows Update,<\/strong>\u00a0and then on <strong>&#8216;Check for Updates<\/strong>.&#8217;
